Sign up for lessons
Signing up is very simple. Just choose the course or package you’re interested in and fill out the non-binding registration form. We will get back to you shortly to arrange the specific details. If you have any questions or need clarification about course placement or individual lessons, don’t hesitate to contact us.
You can start learning music at any time. Individual consultations are available all year round, while group courses open three times a year. If capacity is reached, additional courses may be opened more frequently.
If you have chosen a package that includes personal one-to-one consultations, we will contact you. Either you will receive an email with instructions on how to book your first lesson, or the instructor will reach out to you by phone to arrange the first session directly.
If you have signed up for a group course, children’s course, or group workshop, your spot will be automatically reserved once the payment has been received. Payment instructions will be sent to your email, and before the first lesson you will receive a confirmation email with the exact time and location of the event. All you need to do is show up — no further steps are required.
If you have purchased one of our online products, you will receive an email with a download link or login details for the member section where you can access the content.
It’s never too late to become a musician. We can’t promise you a career in the Czech Philharmonic, but even in adulthood you can learn to play your favorite melodies and enjoy the joy of making music.
As for children — in our music studio we teach students from the age of 15.
Most of our students are beginners, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. In fact, it is often easier to build precise habits from the start than to correct old ones later.
Not being able to read sheet music is also completely normal. Learning to read music goes hand in hand with learning to play an instrument.
There’s no need to rush into buying your own instrument. Your instructor will be happy to advise you and help you choose the one that suits you best. In the case of wind instruments, short-term rental of a saxophone or clarinet is also possible. Don’t hesitate to contact us — we’ll be glad to help you.
Attendance at lessons
Many of our adult students have irregular work schedules. That’s why we use a booking system where you can choose the ideal lesson time each week yourself. New lesson slots are always published one week in advance, so adult students don’t have a fixed timetable. We’re available from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., so you’ll definitely be able to find a time that suits you.
You can take your lessons with just one instructor, or you can rotate between different teachers. We believe that more perspectives bring more knowledge, so don’t be afraid to book lessons with various instructors. In the booking system, you can always see which teacher you are signing up with for a specific lesson. However, due to capacity reasons, we cannot guarantee that the same instructor will teach you for the entire duration of the course.
If you need to cancel a lesson, it’s important to do so in time. Individual consultations must be cancelled no later than 24 hours before the lesson; otherwise, the session is forfeited without compensation. If you booked your lesson through the reservation system, you can cancel it there yourself. In other cases, please contact your instructor directly. For group courses, any missed lesson is non-refundable and cannot be replaced.
Please always check the date by which your lessons must be used. Unless you agree otherwise with your instructor, the package needs to be completed by the specified deadline (you can always find the current validity dates for lessons and courses on your pass and in our price list). These dates are set partly because regular lessons bring faster results than occasional practice.
Lessons can be taken with different instructors at various times, so completing your package should not be a problem.
Transfers to another period or refunds are only possible in cases of serious health issues and require a medical confirmation.
Practical information
Payment is always made in one full amount for the entire period via bank transfer. If you’re serious about learning an instrument, it’s definitely worth considering one of our discounted packages for individual lessons. Group courses are even more cost-effective. Parking in Dejvice can be quite challenging due to the blue parking zones. The nearest paid parking is located by the Praha–Dejvice railway station or near the Hradčanská metro station, where a parking meter is available.
